Inspiration:
We are all inspired by many different kinds of music from Public Enemy,Killing Joke and Aphex Twin to Noise artists such as KK Null and Mike Patton. We aspire to producing interesting and at times challenging music.
Artists Groups History:
The Omm Squad consists of Chris Innes, Damiano Verna and John Crombie. We have been together for about 5 years producing various styles of electronic music from break beat / drum and bass to dub and even psy
trance. Prior to this Chris & Damiano played in number of indie rock bands around Melbourne, releasing music through the shock label, whilst John played Hardcore punk in a number of outfits around the same time. We were introduced to each other by a mutual friend who knew we had all drifted away from guitar orientated music to electronic music.
The Omm Squad are one of the acts on the Tempest Recordings label, based in Melbourne, Australia. We have also released music through Green Ant (Australia) & Devic Craft (Greece) in addition to several remixes & music for short films. The Omm Squad have played at many of Australia's premier outdoor parties such as Earthcore & Rainbow Serpent in addition to dozens of lives shows around Australia. Chris & Damiano are also active as members of Red Eye Express & Arcane Trickster.
